Intercultural exchanges with the local community

1. Home visits

Enlisting support from the local community, CIE arranges one-day (no overnight stay) visits to Japanese families. Home visits help international students deepen their understanding of Japanese culture and customs. Home visits are available to international students in specific study programs in June and December.

2. Japanese culture workshops

CIE cooperates with volunteer groups that organize one-day bus tours for international students a few times a year. By joining these tours, international students travel to historical sites or factories.

Besides bus tours, CIE hosts events to introduce Japanese culture and Japanese enterprises.
